Study on Lift Control of Toe -  plate Grouting ofHigh Concrate -  Faced Rockfill Dam

Abstract: In accordance with the features, such as the gentle dip angle and developed karst structure of the bedded rock body in the dam site of Shuibuya Hydropower Station, the light grouting cover weight on the toe -  plate, the high operation water head of the reservoir, and without late repair or regrouting conditions, the grouting test was conducted on the to e - plate. As a result of adopting the automatic lift observation recording - device and warning facilities for the lift observation on the toe - plate, the lifting deformation of the to  e - plate during the grouting gets to be better controlled so    as to effectively boost the maximum grouting pressure of consolidation grouting and curtain grouting to 0.5MPa and 1.5MPa respectively. According to analyzing a large amount of lift deformation data, effective observation radius and the linear damping ratio of toe -  plate lifting deformation were obtained statistically, which can serve as for the important criterion for the arrangement of lift observation holes and the lift control based on experiential observation distance in the grouting project.
