Abstract: By means of comparing, analyzing and generalizing the functions and needs of a water environment information systen, the commonness of the system function may be found. A convenient design method on a water environment management information system was approached by using COM (component object model) technology and the longitude *. latitude structure design method, So, the method can promote the expansibility of the information system, shorten its development cycle and satisfy different requirements.
