A new mesh auto －generation algorithm of arbitrary quadrilateral is presented. This algorithm is based on AFGT(advanced front generation technique) method which can generate elements and nodes simultaneously. Computing programme has been developed in FORTRAN language which can implement auto－division of meshes easily with less inputinformation. An illustration shows that this algorithm can generate meshes in short time with higher quality. 
