Abstract
The economic development of Linzhi area of Tibet Autonomous Region faces the serious problem of energy shortage. Based on the hydrological observed data of this valley from 1953 to 1975, the average annual precipitation was over 1 000 mm, the average annual evaporation capacity 1 703.2 mm, logn-term average discharge 558 m3/s and average run - off modulus 33.3 (L?s-1)/km2. On the basis of these elementary information, the development plannings of water resources of building “Eight - One” Hydropower Station, Bar River stepped power stations etc., are proposed, in which adopting diversion power stations on the Bar River are suitable. The scientific development of water resources of this watershed will generate profound influence to promote the economic development of the Linzhi area.
