Analysis of Right - side Prestressed Pier by 3D - FEM forSanbanxi Hydropower Project

Abstract

The stresses and deformation of spillway right - side pier for Sanbanxi Hydropower Station in Guizhou province were analyzed by using 3D - FEM. The rules of whole displacement, deformation and stresses in major parts of the pier were obtained. According to the results calculated by FEM, the effects on stresses with and without the ear of anchor block were compared and discussed, and the different interface modelings between the bottom of anchor block and pier were summarized.
