Abstract: Soil concrete has been successfully used on the cutoff wall construction of the second stage cofferdam of Three Gorges Project. In connection with engineering practice the selection of raw materials and mix design of soil concrete are explored, and its physical properties and test methods of mechanical parameters are summarized. The test results show that optim ally designed soil concrete can satisfy the demands of cutoff wall in aspects of extensive deformation and seepage prevention.
