Abstract: Based on the concrete structure theory and combined with large-sized structure model tests, adopting a reasonable calculation mode for mean crack width and steel stresses at crack sections,a new method for calculating maximum crack width of steel-lined reinforced concrete penstock is proposed. The examples show that the concept of this method is clear and employment is convenient, the calculation results are in agreement with test data.
