Abstract: The stability of surrounding rock, the working characteristics of steel and/or concrete linings in process of excavation, operation, and cracking conditions for a steel-plate-lined reinforced-concrete pipe in stratified anisotropic surrounding rock were analyzed by three-dimensional nonlienear FEM.According to the features of united load-bearing among steel lining, reinforced-concrete pipe and stratified anisotropic surrounding rock,a three-dimensional numerical computational method for this composed structure was presented.Through comparative computation to various schemes, some basic regularities of load - bearing in this structure were demonstrated. Some reliable reference data are provided for the design to determine the thickness of steel lining and the arrangement of reinforcement in the concrete pipe buried in this type rockmass.
