Abstract: Aiming at some insufficiencies of traditional timeeffect model of earthrock dam's deformation, considering that timeeffect model should possess mechanical basis, some convergent nonlinear timeeffect models are put forward based upon the theory of soil consolidation. Through comparion between measured and calculated timeeffect components for various models,it shows that the ameliorated timeeffect models of earthrock dam's deformation are more reasonable than the traditional one.
