Mix design of concrete for Three Gorges Project

Abstract

For saving cement,improving the performance of concrete,especifically its durability,some technological measures,including selecting high quality retarding and waterreducing agent,mixing with the addition of AE agent and first grade flyash,strictly limiting watercement ratio of concrete,reasonably increasing the content of flyash etc.,are employed in the mix desigh of concrete.According to experimental results,it is concluded that the mix propertion of dam concrete not only achieve all the requirements of design indexes but also possesses the characteristies of less water dosage and less cement consumption more excellent durability.
