Aiming at the features of spillway and its energy dissipation of Shuibuya Project and examination opinions of feasibility study report,the hydraulic model tests on the selection of pattern of spillways,energy dissipation and their discharg capacities,the protection scheme of the dissipation zone,and two exit arrangements of hydrpower plant tailrace,etc.,were performed,a newly composite structure of narrowslot energy dissipator was proposed.This scheme has satisfactorily solved the difficult problems on floodreleasing and energy dissipation under large discharge,narrow river valley,high drop and bad geological conditions.
