Abstract: In this paper, through room hardening simulating experiment, a study on weathered shale filler for the Shuibuya project has been performed in the aspects of its mineral compositions, chemical composition, grain composition etc.. The results show that,mineral and chemical composition of weathered stock have better long term stability in engineering environmental condition, but grain composition has worse stability owing to its mineral composition and microcope struture characteristics.
