Abstract

The field shear tests of powerhouse dam conventional concrete with different pouring ways for Three Gorges Project(TGP)'s constructi on poriod Ⅱ were performed.The main content included five kinds of relationship s,i.e.,relationship between horizontal shear stress and horizontal displacement ,horizontal shear stress and normal stress,normal stress and residual shear resi stance ,normal stress and frictional shear resistanee,frictional horizontal stre ss and horizontal displacement.The results showed that the quality of cohesion f ace between layers could meet design requirements when constructed with rich mor tar concrete instead of paving a thin layer of mortar.The basis on pouring power house dam section concrete with towerbelt(T.B.) loaders for TGP's stage Ⅱ con stuction was provided. 
