Velocity distribution of sedimentladen flow is sti ll a problem having controversial views.For further studying this problem, Einst ein & Chien's concept of the varying Karman coefficient and Coleman's opinion of wake function are reanalyzed.It is found that the Karman coefficient of varying k and wake flow strength coefficient of Coleman have a one to one relation. This mathematical relationship is derived from two velocity distribution equatio ns.A lot of sets of measured data have been used to verify this relationship. 
