Abstract

Abstract This paper introduces the results of stress strain analysis on the high concrete faced rockfill dam for the Shuibuya Project by means of 2D no linear and 3D elastoplastic FEM, respectively. The results prove that the design scheme is feasible. As the elasto plastic model can reflect the shear contraction characteristics of material at high stress condition, so the result is relatively more reasonable.
