Abstract: Landslide is influenced by multiple factors which induces or restrains the development of landslide. A proper index system for landslide risk assessment is of great significance. We take Bailong river as the research area and selected 8 factors based on field survey and previous researches. By analyzing the sensitivity of these factors and the categories in which these factors belong to,we obtained the average sensitivity of each factor in sequence land use 1.992,strata’s formation age 1.262,elevation 1.123,river buffer zone 1.059,distance to the fault line 1.058,slope gradient 1.014,slope aspect 0.978,and NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index)0.505. Since the average sensitivity value of slope aspect and NDVI is less than 1,they can be ignored. The rest six factors are selected as assessment factors. Then we carried out risk assessment of landslide in the Bailong river by using GIS information method, and obtained the landslide risk zoning map. Result verification shows that the assessment is accurate, which is an evidence of the rationality of the index system.

Key words: landslide, sensitivity analysis, GIS information quantity, risk assessment factors
