Abstract: Assessing land surface deformation in the Three Gorges Reservoir area is of vital importance to the monitoring and prevention of geological disasters, the engineering construction and the safe operation of the reservoir. The map of annual average deformation rate in Badong was obtained based on 53 Sentinel-1A data from 2017 to 2019 using SBAS method. Results uncovered that the land surface deformation rate along Yangtze River in Badong ranged between -5 mm per year and 5 mm per year, which was relatively stable. With the spatial and temporal influences of water level fluctuation into consideration, the time series deformation map was further analyzed by classifying into different buffers according to the distance from river. The deformation of the area is little affected by the change of water level.
