Abstract:

On the basis of contrasting experiment results of concrete strength, numerical analysis is carried out to explore mechanical properties of hybrid steel-polypropylene fiber reinforced concrete(HSPFRC).The calculation formulas and relations among compressive strength, splitting tensile strength and axial tensile strength of HSPFRC are proposed based on the theory of composite material strength and the experimental observations. The undetermined parameters in the model are solved by means of statistical method, and the effects of volume fraction of fiber and length-diameter ratio on strength are taken into account for hybrid fiber reinforced concrete. In light of influence parameters of the strength formulas for different kinds of fibers, we can find that volume fraction of steel fiber and length-diameter ratio are vital to the strength of HSPFRC. The calculation formulas and dependence relations are well fitted, so they can be referenced for researchers in the same field and engineering application.
