为深入研究网站建设工作，基于《长江水利科技网》10余年的建设管理，从3个方面阐述了网站数据组织与运行维护工作。①数据规划：将数据源分类，建立数据源统计表，估算数据容量；按照数据标准，确定数据格式，以保障数据共享；以承载所需数据、保障足够空间、提供快速的数据提取能力和有健全的数据安全机制为原则，比选数据库平台。②数据管理：明确栏目责任单位和更新频率；选择不同类别数据的处理方式；选用可视化的后台编辑平台，采用数据接口或直接链接方式；以静态网页和动态网页相结合展现数据；采用全站题录级数据检索并向全文检索发展。③数据安全：通过设备配置、权限限制、数据备份等措施保障数据安全。分析成果表明，良好的数据规划、有效的数据管理和可靠的数据安全措施是网站运行维护的核心。

Data organization is recognized as the core of website operation and maintenance. On the basis of a decade’s practice in building and maintaining the external website of Changjiang (Yangtze) River Scientific Research Institute, we expound the data organization in terms of data planning during construction, data management and data security during operation and maintenance. For the data planning, the data source was classified and data source statistical tables were  established to estimate data capacity; the data formats were determined to ensure data sharing;  proper database platform was selected in the light of adequate space, quick data extraction, and data security. Regarding data management, the responsible individual and updating frequency of columns were specified; various types of data were also differently treated; visualized backstage editing platform was adopted by data interface or direct links; static and dynamic web page were both employed to display the data; website-wide catalogue data retrieval has been developing to full-text data retrieval. Finally, the data security was guaranteed by facilities, access management and data backup.
