The idea of the agriculture in water is proposed according to the situation of Chinese cultivated land shortage and serious water pollution. On the basis of the origin, development, meaning and features of the agriculture in water in China, the authors put forward a cyclical agriculture mode in water, analyse the components of the system, and discuss its relevant mechanism and benefits.
