重庆是我国严重水土流失的地区之一 ,以重庆第三次水土流失遥感调查数据为依据,对该市水土流失面积、强度和分布等进行了分析,从地貌、气候、植被、不合理的土地利用方式、工程与城市建设等方面探讨了重庆市水土流失的原因,提出了防治水土流失和加强水土保持建设的对策和建议。

Chongqing is one of the most serious water-soil erosion areas in China. Based on remote sensing image the current situation of soil erosion in Chongqing, such as its intensity, quantity and distribution, this paper discusses the natural environment factors and the irrational human action resulting in soil erosion in the municipality. It is pointed out that, besides the natural influence, overweighed rural population on the frail ecosystem and the irrational land uses are the main causes of heavy soil loss. A few countermeasures are proposed for water*.soil conservation, such as eco-agriculture development, rural urbanization and soil conservation engineering.
