Abstract: Since urban river health affects the quality of citizen’s life, river restoration has received increasing concerns. A field survey on Zhuanhe River which had been restored was carried out and ten sampling points were selected. Investigation factors including odor, flow speed ratio, water depth ratio, bank slope gradient, bank slope length, river width, bank protection material, riverbed material, plant species and coverage, benthos diversity index, flood control function, public satisfaction degree, and water closeness degree were chosen as evaluation indexes. Weighted analysis method combined with expert scoring method were emloyed to determine the weights of the indexes and to assess the restoration result. Results showed that the comprehensive assessment score was 2.75 which is better than average level. In detail, the score of the upstream was higher than that of the downstream, which indicated that the measures in the upstream are more complete and the river’s ecological function and social function have better recovered in the upstream; while in the downstream, due to terrain influence, vertical hard bank revetment can cut off the water exchange and further affect the recovery of river water quality and biological diversity.
